Please follow the steps below to get your Flame Boss 400 or Egg Genius connected for the first time. These steps also work when you have a new WiFi router or if your password has changed.


Steps to connect the device to your WiFi network:

  1. Plug up the Egg Genius or Flame Boss 400 to power supply

  2. The LED needs to be in slow blink mode (1 blink per second). If fast blinking, use a paperclip to press the reset button located between the pit and meat jack just once.

  3. Open the Flame Boss mobile app version 6.7.4 or the latest.

  4. Select the Add New button at the top of the "Devices" page

  5. There are three options available. Use the first option for the serial number

  6. Enter the serial number found on the neck of the controller

  7. See your Egg Genius device showing and select the blue "Setup WiFi" button

  8. See your WiFi network name and select it

  9. Then enter the password for it.

  10. The Egg Genius will then show online and do a firmware update if needed. (See screenshot below)
