If you have an Egg Genius smoker controller with a serial number beginning with a 14A (the serial number can be found on the neck of your controller). Please follow the instructions below to get your Egg Genius connected to your home WiFi network.
Download the Flame Boss mobile app
- Create a new user account or log in using your existing account for Flame Boss or Egg Genius mobile app login
- Allow all permissions for the app. (Not allowing all permissions can cause an issue with the setup process)
- Plug up your Egg Genius to power supply
- See the “Pairing Available” pop-up in the app and select “Pair”
- The app will show your device added to your user account and show the Bluetooth status as, Bluetooth: Ready
- Then select the Setup Wi-Fi button
- Select your home WiFi network name
- Then enter the password for it.
- The app will confirm that your Wifi credentials have been sent
- You will then see Cloud: Ready
- The app will update firmware if needed. Usually takes 3-5 mins
- Once updated, select the Egg Genius Name to view and control your cook
If after entering the password for your WiFi network and the cloud status does not change to say Ready. Check the password and try again by selecting the blue cogwheel to the right of your device in the app. Then select “update” to resend the WiFi password.
