If you are manually entering your local WiFi SSID (Name) and Password (Key) on your Flame Boss® 200, 300, or 500 controller and it will not connect to your WiFi we suggest you try rebooting your wireless router. Simply unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. After it finishes restarting try connecting again. This may enable your controller to connect to the Internet.
Often the reason a controller will not connect to a WiFi network is due to the WiFi Password (Key) being entered incorrectly or the final step of entering the right arrow (->) not being done. Please keep in mind that the SSID and Password are case sensitive and must be entered correctly.
Below is an example of the steps to enter your WiFi Password (Key).
EXAMPLE: If your WiFi Password is FlameBoss, when you enter each character using the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons and pressing the Menu button the display would read as follows:
->, then F, then FF, then Fll, then Flaa, then Flamm, then Flamee, then FlameB, then FlameBoo, then FlameBoss, and finally FlameBosss
The final step in entering your WiFi password (Key) is when FlameBosss is displayed, use the Up or Down arrow buttons on the controller to locate the "Right Arrow" (->) in the list of available characters. Once located, 'Enter' will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Press the "Menu" button. The screen should then display "Resetting" and then "Connecting to Your WiFi Network".
